Value Pyramid or the Moth to behemoth

In the spirit of  thinking in different models , can you imagine this gobble-up food chain, pyramid as the square back. One way is formative/supporter/pillar/gobbled up direction, the other way is predator direction. For organizations, they have to keep moving up with time and heft, so as to avoid the fate of being in someones belly. Energy pyramid removes the guilt/virtue of the food chain pyramid. When it comes to organizations, see it as the Value pyramid.

Changing a system

When you think of  a system, you think of all the inputs that can modify the behavior of the system. When you have such a picture, it gets very easy to see if the organization has the change elements you want to happen. If you dont find traces of it, then you know you have to make new pathways for the change to happen. Is it a parallel conduit that needs to be added?

Anti Hobbesian

Have you read Gift of the Magi  story? What happens in a Hobbesian world? Depends if the general mood is discord or harmony. Lets say Della has short hair to  begin with. She might grow her hair thinking Jim might buy her The Combs. If The Combs are really pretty, then you should want to grow your hair? You can fill the rest for Jim, but you get the idea. Making the models yours How do you make a Model yours? Whats your favorite model? Can one do the work of the other? For example if you have a linear flow A -->B--->C---> D Can you phrase it in the form of D<--C         ^         | A-->B In this format, will you be more inclined to think of the Pythogorus and see of you can jump from A to C directly? Can you reimagine your theory in a different model?  Maslow's hierarchy of needs Its like the icing is on the top of the cupcake. But everyone knows that the way to eat a...

"complexity simplifies and regularises" What about the capability factor? Hitting the limits i.e Lets say huge section sof stadiums and restroom overflow. Is one section cordoned off from the other atleast by design. Like how it happens in the flights, where if you dont have one available, only then you go to the farther one. Rise Can rise be seen as  scale-free correlations  ," formations that most closely resemble  criticality  in their characteristics, this being the exact point at which systems stand on the brink of a radical transformation, such as water becoming ice or snow turning to avalanche. Pro consumer industries

Another observation about a good shoe repair shop: their entire business model is based on keeping your shoes intact and looking good for as long as possible...NOT convincing you to buy something new.
