Why you should know your Math facts

ALEX Toys Future Coders Poppin' Pictures Coding Skills Kit

Kids love this activity of placing colored tiles in different shapes like watermelon, smily emoticon and so on. The other side of the card translates the colors to shapes which are then put onto the shape in the tile. Learning this translation is what prepares our future coders. As soon as I explained this involved translation, the kid wants to code the card right away.

On the side with shapes, the top legend of color tiles has some colors with no shapes. That was a good observation. It means that the card does not use those colors.

Workbook Multiplication Learn to multiply Growing Smarter by Bendon for Grades 2-3

This book is geared towards the theme of astronauts and space flights. One of the activities had multiplication and a letter coded for each answer. At the end you have to decode a riddle of numbers with the letter mapping, as an answer to the question posed. When I was asked how to solve the problem, we recalled how we solved the patterns yesterday.

Another very smart maze problem has math facts which if you know will take you to the right answer.

Math facts will help you solve problems.
