Lets say Della has short hair to  begin with. She might grow her hair thinking Jim might buy her The Combs. If The Combs are really pretty, then you should want to grow your hair? You can fill the rest for Jim, but you get the idea.

How do you make a Model yours? Whats your favorite model?

Can one do the work of the other? For example

if you have a linear flow A -->B--->C---> D

Can you phrase it in the form of

D<--C

        ^

        |

A-->B

In this format, will you be more inclined to think of the Pythogorus and see of you can jump from A to C directly?

Can you reimagine your theory in a different model? 

Maslow's hierarchy of needs

Its like the icing is on the top of the cupcake. But everyone knows that the way to eat a cupcake is to cut it horizontally in half, invert it and then eat like a sandwich. so how about some luxuries hidden inside the daily needs before and after?

Why didnt Della have or want a watch, then it would be a Girardian world where you gift everyone what you have. Makes the gifting easy and you have a equal world, more or less.
